Zap2it: Candice Accola talks Season 2 of The Vampire Diaries

Candice Accola talks about Tyler and Caroline, Katherine, her changing, and much more so head over to Zap2it to read the rest of the article once you're done reading here.

"There's obviously been such an incredible tease of Tyler's pending transformation. He's becoming a werewolf, which happens to coincide with Caroline's transformation into a vampire," she says. "It opens up a very beautiful opportunity for them to have some kind of a relationship, be it a friendship or something more, just to have someone going through the same thing."

Tyler's already made out with Matt's mom, after all. What's a little ex-girlfriend action after that?

More than any new boy drama, though, Accola is most looking forward to the show's exploration of a few other areas of Caroline's life. "We're really going to get into Caroline's relationship with herself and her relationship with her mother," she says. "That'll take precedence before new boys. All of Season 1, the biggest thing consuming Caroline's life was whether she had a boy to love her, and whether her friends love her. In her breakup with Matt she realizes that she has to love herself."

E Online: Ian Somerhalder talks about Tonight's episode of The Vampire Diaries "Memory Lane"

Kristen does such an amazing job! Always great interviews with the cast members!

"We're going to learn a lot about this werewolf thing in tonight's episode," Ian tells us of "Memory Lane." "Katherine is actually the one that explains a lot of what's going on. It's interesting to see where this whole thing came from in Mystic Falls—who knew about it [and] how vampires got involved. It's a very enlightening episode."
Also heading your way tonight is the crazy-good face-off between Katherine and Elena, which does not go well for one (or both!) of the ladies.
Bob Mahoney/The CW

"Katherine's definitely not going to buy her flowers," laughs Ian. "She's going to kill Elena if she doesn't get what she wants, there's no two ways about it. Plus, Katherine can't kill Elena until Damon gets to at least sleep with her once!" Um, yes please!
Ian does leave us on a bright note: A tiny semblance of hope that sometime in The Vampire Diaries future, Damon will rid himself of Katherine's hold and find the happiness we all want for him."Damon learned a great deal that she is not the person you want to be in love with," the star reassures us. "She is the unobtainable woman that you don't want to obtain. But in a time of need, he can probably still be manipulated by her." Read more: E Online

Candice Accola talks Season 2 of The Vampire Diaries with TV Fanatic

Candice Accola confirms what really happened with Caroline and Matt in the last episode "Bad Moon Rising". If you're like me and found yourself very confused since last Thursday about the break up scene and if Caroline really wanted Matt to break up with her than read below and be sure to head over to TV Fanatic to read the rest of this interview.

"Explain Caroline's decision to force Matt to dump her.
I think something that’s very human in becoming a vampire for Caroline is that she gains perspective. She recognized an unhealthy relationship, essentially. Part of growing up is looking at the bigger picture of not only what’s best for you but whats best for someone you love, whether that’s a lover or a family member or a friend and I think that she’s starting to do that. The Caroline in first season, if she was going through something traumatic, she would be like... "but I love you and I want to tear you down with me. If I’m going down you’re going with me because I need someone with me to figure this out with”.

She’s starting to find a little more security in herself, where she’s recognizing someone else being happy is more important than her always feeling loved by them."

"Is it completely over for them?
Honestly, I really don’t’ know. It’s the second season, and just like with any relationship you realize, how do you know when it’s ever over? Obviously there are certain points where, goodness, you hope so and should be. But you never know. They’re still going to be in the same town and in the same group and their paths will cross, so stay tuned!"

TV Fanatic's interview with Ian Somerhalder.

Ian Somerhalder was recently interviewed by TV Fanatic and Ian talks a lot about his character, Emmy's, and what's going on with Elena/Stefan. Here are just a few tidbits from the article, but make sure you go over to TV Fanatic to read the rest of this interview with Ian.
Photo:  Courtesy of The CW

"We've learned a lot about Damon via flashbacks. Is there any background on the character you'd still like to know?
What his favorite color was. No, just kidding. Yeah, there are a couple of things. I would like to know what Damon was doing to fill those 150 years. I can almost guarantee that he slept with Marilyn Monroe, and probably hung out with Carrie Grant and Humphrey Bogart and all those guys. Did he go to Rolling Stone concerts? How cool would it be to see a scene of old stock footage of Damon being in the exact same clothing, but sort of standing backstage or sitting in the front of a Rolling Stone concert in 1968. How cool would that be? Maybe by season three when we have the money [laughs].
What were those 150 years filled with? I wouldn’t say that Damon was the most philanthropic human being in the world, but who knows. Was he? I don’t know. I’d love to know what he did, the relationships that he had. It’s interesting.
What's your favorite Damon one-liner of all-time?
There are a lot of them. But one of them that I really, really loved is the Count Deepak line. One of the coolest, most surreal experiences I’ve ever had was when I was doing that Larry King telethon for the Golf Oil spill and Deepak Chopra came up to me. He said “I really like that line in your television show, and my niece is going to kill me if I don’t get a picture with you." This is Deepak Chopra saying this to me on the stage of Larry King Live. I thought, if nothing else comes from this television show, no career, no nothing, that would be worth it."

Ian Somerhalder wants a Vampire Diaries musical episode!

Photo: Bad Moon Rising
Yes...I'm GLEEKING out over Ian Somerhalder wanting such a brilliant episode to happen and boy am I hoping that Ian can give a much needed push to make this episode happen. I have been begging and pleading for a Vampire Diaries musical episode to happen for the past 9 months and hopefully Ian can make it happen! Here is what Ian Somerhalder stated in the MTV Hollywood Crush article.

"I would do a musical episode in a heartbeat!" Ian exclaimed, then revealed that one of his fellow cast members has a hidden talent that would be perfect for a musical. "Zach Roerig [aka Matt] is a tap dancer," he said. "Who would've thought?"

So what would be Damon's go-to musical number?

"I don't know… Damon would be more like the barber of Fleet Street [a la "Sweeney Todd"]. He would be the guy who sings as he cuts people's arms off," he said matter-of-factly—which made us laugh out loud. "Full, Johnny Depp style."

Fancast interview with Ian Somerhalder!!

Ian Somerhalder confirms the age of Katherine? Also, Ian talks a lot about tonight's episode "Bad Moon Rising, flashbacks, and much more in this heated interview by Fancast.

"What is Katherine going to do next?
When you saw Damon in season one, and how driven he was to accomplish one goal which was to get her back, that was the only thing he was going to do.  It caused a lot of trouble.  A great deal of this he learned from Katherine and now I think hell hath no theory like a woman scorned, well hell hath no theory like a heartbroken vampire whom his mentor, the love of his life, the woman who made him who he is, is in town and he realizes she doesn’t love him.  Katherine has an agenda.  She’s going to do and kill whatever she needs to do to make that happen.  It’s going to be an intense ride.  She’s powerful.  She’s 350 years old.  She’s manipulative.  She’s sexy and she’s ruthless.  You think Damon’s ruthless, wait until you see the s–t that she pulls."

"Now that True Blood’ has broken down the barrier for vampire shows, would you like to see ‘Vampire Diaries’ get an Emmy nomination next year?
There are so many elements that go into that. To be honest with you, ‘True Blood,’ those guys put in the work. They are on a network that is typically nominated for Emmys and Golden Globes. This is a young network and politically I’m not sure that people want to recognize a show like the ‘Vampire Diaries’ for good work. We don’t even know if our work is that great. Of course that would be icing on the cake, but as long as we can sit down here in our little bubble and try to produce the best quality show we possibly can with the means that we have [we're happy.] We have amazing writers who come up with this stuff every week and it’s our job as the actors to try and tell that story in the best possible way that we can. The rest is up to the universe and politics."

An American Idol Alumni is heading to The Vampire Diaries!

Natashia Williams an American Idol Alumni from Season 7 is heading to The Vampire Diaries and I'm hoping they have her vampire character Lucy actually sing. It would be incredibly epic.

"Question: I think you’ve been a little stingy with The Vampire Diaries scoop. How about some enlightenment? —Robin
Ausiello:
How about some casting scoop? She Spies alum (and season 7 American Idol almost-finalist) Natashia Williams has landed the role of Lucy, a mysterious hipster who possesses a fun swagger. How’s that for a vague spoiler?"

L.A. Times interview with Candice Accola

Candice Accola talks season 2 of The Vampire Diaries.
Caroline
"How is Caroline's transformation going to affect her friendship with Bonnie [Katerina Graham]?
I would assume greatly. ... Sometimes there are friendships where there needs to be some space apart. I think that that’s kind of a point for Bonnie and Caroline. They both need to figure out how they feel about that situation. Also, looking back on the first season, Caroline wasn’t necessarily so supportive when Bonnie was finding out about her own changes and her own supernatural qualities. ... It’s a lot for Caroline to expect Bonnie to have that immediate just being OK with everything because Caroline didn’t give her that support."

"I think [executive producers] Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec might have to do a talent-show episode so we can get the cast singing.
Yeah. Everyone’s got their little niche. It’d be really fun. ... [But] I find it nice to keep it separate as well. It’s always weird when you see a movie and there’s no reason for someone to, like, jump on stage and be a singer, and then they just do that. ... But if it came organically, I would grab that mike and jump on stage for sure."

Did I just see what I think I saw? Yes I did. YES I want a talent show episode LOL!

The Vampire Diaries (2.05) "Kill Or Be Killed" ImagesF

FINALLY! I was actually hoping there would be scans from any scene that Tyler and Jeremy may have, but to my surprise there are tons of images from this batch that are causing quite a stir among The Vampire Diaries fandom. Such as, Liz and Mason!? I'm so excited to see these two together in episode 5 and I'm 100% for Mason and Liz (Sheriff Forbes) hooking up if it happens.

Katerina Graham New York Post "Bonnie will do something SHOCKING in the third episode"

SPOILERS! Katerina Graham states something huge about episode three and further episodes!

"PW: Tonight ended with a huge shocker -- Katherine killed Caroline, seemingly turning her into a vampire -- how much does the fallout from that change the direction of season two?
Kat: It affects it completely. When that happened, it altered anything me, Kat Graham, would have thought could happen in episode two. When I read the script, I was like “already? We’re already going there? What are we going to do for episode two?!?" But that’s just the genius of [creators] Kevin [Williamson] & Julie [Plec] – they can create these amazing storylines that completely capture you to the point where you have to watch next week. We’re shooting episode six right now and that moment is still affecting the storyline – it has a huge impact on all the characters and changes everything. Then you have this whole werewolf situation, there’s a lot going on, so you have to watch every episode and pay attention to everything.

PW: Out of the six, which episode, for you, had the biggest jaw dropping moment?
Kat: I definitely feel like Caroline's "death" in the first episode is one of the biggest shocks ... but the third episode is really nuts too. Something happens where the fate of a main character is left up in the air. Literally every episode has something that makes you fall off your couch and scream at the TV [laughs] it’s just that kind of show. In the third episode, Bonnie does something completely shocking. Four and five show a lot of Katherine and episode six is a huge turner as well – it changes the fate, again, of the rest of the season."

OH GoD! I'm ready for episode 3!

Spoilers: New evil coming to The Vampire Diaries! Watch out Katherine!

Sources have already confirmed this, but spoilerguide.com has now made a post about the evil that the full synopsis of Season 2 was referring too. Take a look below to see an interesting tidbit from their site.

"Rose, a sexy, hard core vampire is going to take Elena, but only to entice another uber-powerful vamp named Phillipe. Elena is exactly what Phillipe has been wanting and Rose wastes no time letting him know she has his prize. During Elena’s captivity with Rose she learns some unnerving truths."

I'm guessing this "Phillipe" Character will be the new evil that the synopsis referred too and I can't wait to see who they will have play such a character.
I have several questions as well just like they did over at spoilerguide

1. Who the hell is Phillipe? OKAY?!
2. What will we learn more about Stefan? I believe that Stefan is still hiding something from Elena and possibly even Damon.
3. From seeing the synopsis refer to this Phillipe as a evil they never thought possible..it's quite easy to assume that Phillipe is way more powerful than Katherine. For all we know Phillipe is a vampire, but who says he isn't capable of having powers or even have an involvement with other supernatural beings.
4. Elena kidnapped again(referring to when Damon took her to Georgia), really?? At least this time the Lockwood's will be there to help out.
5. Who is Rose? Also, why does she want to bring Elena to Phillipe?
My last question would be how did they manage to let Elena get kidnapped and why is this Phillipe person wanting to possibly kill Elena? Very confusing at this point since there isn't much to read at the moment about this Phillipe character.

The Vampire Diaries (2.05) Synopsis "Kill Or Be Killed"

The CW has released the official description for "Kill Or Be Killed", which will air Oct. 7th.

"MASON’S PAST IS REVEALED — Tyler (Michael Trevino) learns more about the Lockwood family curse from Mason (guest star Taylor Kinney). Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) argue over how to handle Mason. Elena (Nina Dobrev) tries to keep Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) from becoming more involved with the Lockwood mystery, but Jeremy makes an effort to hang out with Tyler. Mason gives Sheriff Lockwood (Marguerite MacIntyre) some startling information, leading to a night of violence, confession and heartbreak. Candice Accola also stars. Jeff Woolnough directed the episode written by Mike Daniels (#205)."

OooOOOO... I'm so excited that the JYLER (Jeremy & Tyler) bromance seems to be happening and I can't wait to see their scenes together in episode 5. I feel this will be a sad episode as well because it seems Sheriff Forbes (the synopsis has Sheriff Lockwood, however her name is Sheriff Forbes) will find out the truth not only about her daughter being a vampire, but about Damon being one as well.

AOL TV's interview with Katerina Graham!

I love this interview with Katerina Graham! She dishes about love interest, possible new powers, and her relationship with her best friend Elena.

"Lots of people asked this next question: Will Bonnie get a love interest?
Everyone asks me that! I guess they really want her to. Pass the message on: I don't know! I have no clue. Bonnie's kind of doing her own thing right now. I hope that she'll get a little action, but you know, it has to benefit the story. It can't just be like okay, Vampires! Werewolves! Witches! Craziness! And here's a boyfriend. No. It has to work with the storyline, and where they're at right now, and what characters they're focusing on, and how that's going to benefit everyone else's storyline. We'll see how it works out. Hopefully, yeah, but if not, I wouldn't be mad.

What new powers will Bonnie acquire?
You're going to see some of the things that you saw last year -- being able to give a migraine or an aneyurism to vampires. She's really great with fire and water. Remember the one episode where she tried to find where Elena was and she used the necklace? She's really good with locating things. In terms of new things, there's stuff I don't really want to say. You'll definitely be able to see some of the things you saw last season, but to, like, ten times their power." Read the rest of the interview over at AOL TV

E! Online : Spoilers! Katerina Graham interview

Bamon shippers sorry! Katerina Graham talks about love interest, Bonnie's problems
with the vampires and much more.
"Sorry, "Bamon" shippers, but in a word: No.

Kat Graham had this to say about the much-discussed Bonnie and Damon relationship: "I don't know if they're ever going to a have a friendship. There's a lot of fans of the books that even want us to get together romantically. Right now, Bonnie's feelings about her grandmother are still very raw. She's not going to be tolerant for awhile with Damon."

OK, so we won't be seeing any Damon-Bonnie lovin', but what about fighting? Kat told us Bonnie was very serious when she warned Damon she'll take him out if he goes back to his old (and is it wrong to say fun?) drain-‘em-and-kill-‘em ways. "The sweet Bonnie from the first season is definitely going to be challenged. She is going to have to stand up for herself, and she is going to keep her promise on certain levels."Read more over at E! Online

Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson's interview with New York Post

Kevin and Julie dish out on season 2.

"PW: The last time you made one of the main characters a vampire -- vicky -- she didn't last very long. Will Caroline have a longer shelf life?
Kevin: I think it’s safe to say yes.
Julie: Here’s the deal, Caroline could die in any episode – she is doomed. She is absolutely, fundamentally doomed by definition of her own personality and her lot in life. Her mom’s in the council and is the sheriff. She's also a neurotic, jealous busybody who is always putting her foot in her mouth and Damon isn’t going to put up with her – so she’s doomed. The question is, how much fun can we have getting her out of those doomed situations and for how long. Because we really, really believe that this character has a long shelf life.

PW: I can't wait to see Candice Accola as a vampire!
Julie: She’s amazing. We have a lot of fun. The sad part is, now that she’s a vampire, it doesn’t bode well for other people's shelf lives. Now we have one more vampire around to kill people."

Katerina Graham interview with TV Guide

In this interview Katerina Graham talks about the character Bonnie and discusses love interest, the drama to expect in this weeks episode of The Vampire Diaries "Brave New World" and states "Bonnie will do something unthinkable".

"TVGuide.com: How has Bonnie changed since the first season?
Katerina Graham: She's definitely a lot stronger and more empowered and less fearful. She started off as this timid sidekick and she's been through so much that she's really had to develop an inner strength. She's shot through the roof in terms of being more honest. There's a lot of guilt that if she would have said, "No, we're not [opening the tomb]; figure it out yourself," she would still have her grandmother.
TVGuide.com: What about Bonnie and Stefan or Damon?
Graham: I don't know if it's never going to happen, but I don't know about a friendship. They're going to have to work their asses off to get Bonnie to even like them. I think if it helped Elena, she would definitely work with them and I think that says a lot about Bonnie."

Katerina Graham reveals Vampire Diaries Season 2 Spoilers

My Season 2 predictions and what I would like to see.

This is just a small amount of what I thought about typing up regarding my predictions and what I would like to see in season 2 of The Vampire Diaries. You can also see other season 2 predictions from various fans on my fellow podcast site run by Tealey and Simone (Salvatorecouncil).

I really believe that the new evil that the synopsis refers too is possibly a Demon type creature that will come to Mystic Falls and shock not only Stefan but everyone in town. It’s quite possible this evil will not only affect the town, but possibly the world if it’s not stopped (if Julie/Kevin make this evil that powerful). I would like to see Tyler and Jeremy get much closer and have a brotherly type relationship because honestly…Jeremy needs that at the moment. Jeremy’s sister isn’t there for him to be quite honest because she completely tried to control his life by having him compelled by Damon to erase his memories, which of course quite a bit of people would disagree, however it’s quite obvious this had a negative impact on Jeremy because of how he shows his hatred for Elena in the finale episode and even went as far to attempt suicide (Yes, he’s obviously not going to be a vampire).

Julie Plec had mentioned to me on The VRO that we would see more of the Lockwood mansion, and a connection between Tyler and Jeremy so I’m super excited. What I would like to see would be a scene where someone is messing with Jeremy and Tyler defends Jeremy and Jeremy is like “Whoa Tyler…just defended me” it would be awesome”. I also believe that this would be an amazing connection/relationship on the show because I feel Tyler will honestly tell Jeremy what he is, or Jeremy may find out that Tyler is a werewolf or some supernatural being.

I think Matt and Stefan will also connect this season and their bromance will form. However, I think Jeremy will be destroyed and that’s why I think it’s awesome what happens apparently in episode 5 (A spoiler was posted on the web about a scene in episode 5 of Tyler and Jeremy…and it’s amazing!). I’m also excited to see how Mason Lockwood is and I hope he isn’t a douche like his older brother was and I hope he helps Tyler understand what he is and how to deal with it, but I’M HOPING JULIE/KEVIN don’t kill him off!

Another character I’m excited about is Bonnie Bennett and I believe she is going to be HUGE this season and I can truly say she’s probably going to kick ass starting from episode 1. I’m hoping so much for a romance between Bonnie and Tyler because they both seem like they could connect…I would love to see a scene where Bonnie accidentally knocks into Tyler and gets that mojo and is like “OMG is his a vampire no way..”, but later on she finds out what he really is.

Somethings I would love to see more in season 2 would be more scenes of them playing sports, or doing fun stuff at school. I mean can we see the characters go to the movies at least?! I would also LOVE,LOVE,and I mean LOVE to see more scenes of different characters to stay over at each others houses. I loved how early on in season 1 we saw Bonnie a lot at Elena’s house and in “History Repeating” we saw Bonnie and Caroline stay the night at Elena’s house and supernatural events occurred. However, in season 2 I would love to see the same type of things happen, but with different people…for example, I would love to see a scene where Tyler stays over at Elena’s house to may be watch over Jeremy ( because Jeremy is 15 and he is going through a lot and considered suicide so it would be good to have Tyler watch over him) and they’re alone and than all of a sudden the lights go off..and than it’s like “WTF is GOING ON!” LOL.

There is so much more to talk about…but as of now this is all I can really put out there at the moment.

Latina Mag interviews Michael Trevino!! "Werewolves run hotter"

Michael Trevino talks about the Lockwood family and and says the fans will get to see him shirtless sooner than we think. It's good to see that Michael Trevino is getting a lot of press now and I'm so excited for him.

"What's coming up for your character, Tyler in season two of The Vampire Diaries?
Tyler’s Uncle, Mason Lockwood (Taylor Kinney) is coming into town and is a big part of Tyler’s journey this season. Through Mason, Tyler will come to realize some interesting information about the Lockwood Bloodline. Not everything is as it seems, and there are some big surprises down the road. It’s been a lot of fun so far, and I’ve been able to explore this character more this season. Tyler is going to be going through a lot this season and I hope that people are entertained by it. I think fans are going to enjoy the "sneaky" Lockwood family.

Did you have to get more muscular for the new season?
My producers never asked me to bulk up, but I took it upon myself to go to the gym a little more this season.

Will we see Tyler shirtless in season two?
Tyler will be shirtless sooner than you think this season." The rest of the interview can be read at latinaMag

TV Fanatic interviews Katerina Graham

I'm so excited for Bonnie this season and I've been waiting for the past 2 to 3 months wondering WHAT conversation goes down between Katherine and Bonnie. I really feel Katherine might possibly talk to Bonnie about Emily. I just can't see Katherine killing Bonnie and I feel that it's quite possible Katherine really did see Emily as a friend.
"In the trailer, we see Katherine and Bonnie in a very intense scene. Not a very nice way to greet her old friend's great granddaughter.
I think Bonnie is just standing in the way of everything to Katherine. Katherine is a bit heartless, so she doesn’t really care. Even though she was friends with Emily Bennett, I still don’t even trust that she wouldn’t screw Emily over to get what she wanted. Katherine gets what she wants and wants what she gets. She’s very heartless that way, so I’m not surprised that she’s that dangerous. It’s just, Bonnie not being able to tell the difference, I guess she figured it out a little late. She’ll get better at it in the future [laughs].

Is Bonnie as strong Emily yet?
I think in certain ways, Bonnie has the strength that her great grandmother had. I think Bonnie’s still got a long way to go before she’s really harnesses it and knows what to do in certain situations. She’s still learning. She’s not where she was last season. She’s definitely a lot stronger and knows who she is, which is an important first step. She’s still got a few more things to learn, which should be fun to watch."

Jim Halterman's top 10 reasons why The Vampire Diaries is the must-see of the new fall season!

I'm just going to post one thing in particular I LOVED. I'm so excited for The Tyler and Jeremy bromance that is hopefully going to happen and I can't wait for The Vampire Diaries season 2 premiere tonight.

"6. PRETTY RULES BUT…the actors on TVD can all act. Having met most of the cast at Comic Con (Ian!!! You’ve eluded me thus far!) they are just as beautiful in person, nicer than their dark characters but they’re also truly professionals. It shows at press events and it shows on the screen. And, another kudos for casting, Taylor Kinney looks great but also effortlessly becomes part of the fold. And most of last season I hoped Michael Trevino and Steven R. McQueen would get more airtime and it appears my wish has been granted." You can read the rest of this awesome article over at Jim Haltermen

Ian Somerhalder talks Bromance, Bonnie, Vampire Powers and more with TV Squad

In this article Ian Somerhalder talks about what's to come in Season 2 and other exciting things such as his amazing on screen and off screen bromance with Matt Davis.

"How will Damon be handling Bonnie's big threat?
Bonnie (Katerina Graham) can hold her own, unfortunately, with Damon. Anyone who can put Damon down on the ground -- and not in a sexual way -- is a problem. [Laughs] She's a big problem for him. She's a contender ... I think if anything, she's gonna prove to be useful. Katherine is going to be a major, major, major problem. Katherine is a bigger problem than Damon was in Season 1, because she's three times more sadistic and seductive. I think what she wants is far greater than love, which is even scarier.

I think Matt Davis might be clinically insane, tweeting under a pen name, but fans are loving the back and forth you guys have on Twitter.
What is so amazing is, if in fact he is clinically insane, it is such a beautiful thing. I love that man. We totally have a bromance. Damon and Alaric and Elena spend a little bit of time together this season, and I think I can speak for Matt Davis and Nina Dobrev and myself when I say that we love being together on set. The three of us have a blast when we're shooting stuff." You can read the rest of the article over at TV Squad

Fancast list reasons why to watch the Season 2 Premiere of The Vampire Diaries Tonight

I posted a few tidbits from the article and I hope everyone will go over to Fancast to see the rest of the article as well as the reasons to watch the premiere tonight.

"The Season Opener Won’t Skip A (Heart) Beat. Is Jeremy dead? Or did Anna’s blood turn him into a vamp? Will Elena meet Katherine? Will Stefan find out about Damon and Katherine’s kiss? Williamson promises you won’t have to wait long for answers. “We pick up right where we left off. The whole episode literally, we rewind 30 seconds and take off.” As for the fate of wounded Caroline, Williamson vaguely explains, “Maybe’s she’s dead, maybe she isn’t. But it will all be answered in that first episode.”

Katherine Returns…And Damon Squirms. Will Katherine’s arrival in Mystic Falls bode well for the one Salvatore brother who’s been pining for her for over a century? Maybe. “The nice thing about Katherine is that she can play Damon at his own game, but she can up it. She can complicate it and she can double it times 20. She’s older, she’s wiser, and in our mythology, the older vampire is the stronger vampire,” he says." Read the rest of the article at Fancast"

Starry Magazine interviews Sarah Canning

Starry Magazine interviews Sarah Canning on her involvement in Season 2 and how Jenna is dealing.

"Q) What is new this season on "The Vampire Diaries" and with your character Jenna Sommers?

A) I think one of the biggest things that the viewers are looking forward to is the return of Katherine. You have seen the tense moment at the end of season one and that will definitely be addressed in the first episode. I think that's really going to effect every character. We've seen Jenna let Katherine (Nina Dobrev) into the house so she's sort of been a catalyst for everything that is about to go down. I think that is going to play a big part for Jenna, how she is going to deal with Katherine being around and her not knowing who she is. Matt Davis and I were also working together at the later part of the first season and we've seen a lot of stop and start with a relationship developing between them. They got stuck, but there is so much chemistry between them. There are so many other factors that aren't letting things be easy for them. We get to see things grow between them, maybe in a positive way, but I don't think it will ever be easy for them. The fact that Alaric, unbeknownst to Jenna, has an alliance with a group of vampires that her niece is involved with...That alone puts a stress on the relationship since there are a lot of secrets." The rest of the interview can be read at STARRY MAGAZINE.

Buzz Sugar interviews Katerina Graham

Buzz: Are we going to see Bonnie kicking ass this season? KG: Oh, yeah, from the jump she's kicking ass. She's going to try — although she might not succeed sometimes, she's going to be trying to kick ass. She's going to be doing her thing.
Buzz: How will the addition of werewolves affect the show?
KG: It completely affects the show, it alters everything that you might have thought the show was gong to be. Werewolves are going to play such an important part this season. I know that notoriously vampires and werewolves don't get along, so that creates a whole other conflict for everyone to deal with, and then Katherine's back, that's a whole other thing. It's so interesting to see how they're all playing with each other. And I don't think any of them are going to play nice.

Buzz: Will Bonnie be discovering more of her powers?
KG: Absolutely. She also discovers things she can do easily and certain things she's learning and still developing. Over time we'll discover more of her abilities, which is always fun for the fans to see.

Aww it's nice to see that Katerina states there is a love interest, but she didn't name who. I'm hoping it's Tyler hehe. You can read the rest of the interview over at Buzz Sugar.

Buddy TV narrows down a list of who dies in the premiere of The Vampire Diaries.

I wouldn't say this article spoils anything about who dies in the premiere because he gives a big list of the characters. In my opinion I believe it's Uncle John who dies. I really just can't see Jeremy turning because it would be too much and where would they get the jewelery to make Jeremy walk in the sun. It would be too much heart break to have Jeremy die as well. HOWEVER, this opinion could be quite void because different media outlets have stated Damon does something terrifying and evil at the end of the episode that destroys his relationship with Elena and will leave the fans in shock. You can see the list over at Buddy TV.

"SPOILER WARNING: This article contains spoilers about The Vampire Diaries.

Ready?

In the season 2 premiere, at least one major character dies. That's all you're getting, and it should leave you with plenty of questions.

Is it more than one person? Is the death permanent? Does the death or deaths have anything to do with the cliffhangers from last season, or was that just misdirection?

Season 1 left several characters in peril. Jeremy took an overdose of pills trying to kill himself to turn into a vampire. Caroline was seriously injured in a car accident. Jonathan was stabbed by Katherine. However, this is The Vampire Diaries, so none of those circumstances necessarily lead to death."

Entertainment Weekly's interview with Ian Somerhalder

Ian Somerhalder was named the sexiest beast after beating out the competition about a month ago. However, in this interview he not only thanks the fans for voting for him but he talks A LOT about season 2. [Spoilers Ahead]

"We know from promos that Katherine [Nina Dobrev as the vampire lover who essentially turned the brothers in 1864] says she’s returned for Stefan and never loved Damon. What can you tease about season 2?
Poor Damon. Katherine comes back, and it’s the chicken or the egg thing. In the story, Katherine obviously came before Damon, and Damon learned a lot of his antics from Katherine and then 150 years of cynicism. When I watch Nina be Katherine, it’s crazy, the similarity that you see between Katherine and Damon. She starts wreaking havoc in a very similar way that for most of season 1 Damon wreaked havoc — because he wanted something. You’re gonna see Damon in a way in which you haven’t necessarily seen him before dealing with Katherine and what happens after so many years of longing and wanting to be with someone, being hurt and let down in that extreme manner. It’s a lot of fun watching Katherine and how powerful and manipulative and sexy and crazy she is. It’s a lot of fun to play. It’s brutal for me. [In classic Damon delivery] Damon doesn’t always get what he wants now, which is boring for Ian, but great for the story." You can read the rest of the interview over at EW

The Trades-The Kat is back! (Spoilers)! Season 2 Vampire Diaries

There are quite a bit of spoilers in here. So caution! Thank you for the heads up Tasha (@IHearttvd of Twitter)

"Katherine's not the only evil vampire to return to The Vampire Diaries, however. Her destabilizing presence serves to drive a new wedge between Stefan and Damon, pushing the latter into a rash act that once again clearly marks him as a tortured villain. But what could cause such a tragic turn of events, when Damon was so close to becoming a caring, human character? It's an emotionally unsettling scene that will have viewers slipping off the edge of their seats when it happens, and will pretty much rule out any more kisses from Elena in the near future."You can read the rest of the article over at The Trade

Part 1 of Sarah Canning's interview with MTV Hollywood Crush

In this interview Sarah Canning discusses the relationship between Jenna and Alaric and how there is a bumpy road ahead for the pair.

Photo: Courtesy of The CW Network
"Unfortunately, Sara is almost as in the dark about the couple's destiny as we are, even though they have shot scenes together for the upcoming season. "I think the audience and Matt and I have been waiting to see what is going to happen with them because it's been so stop and start," she said. "It's been really kind of a cool development for Jenna because we see her meeting this new guy and recognizing that he could be really good for her. But she's given up old habits and she's not going to chase him down." You can read the rest of the interview over at MTV Hollywood Crush.
