Darren Criss of Glee talks to interview magazine

Darren Criss has become a huge sensation since his debut on Glee.
Please keep supporting his success. All of us Gleeks love you Darren~

"KATIE MENDELSON: Was there any trepidation on your part about taking on the role of a gay character, or concern about being pigeonholed after moving on from Glee?

DARREN CRISS: Not at all. To be quite honest, that doesn't take up a huge chunk of what really matters about Blaine. After having gotten to know the show a little bit, I was really excited to see that a character like this—such a strong gay character, especially a young, male, out-and-proud teen—was going to make its way onto network television, much less Fox. This is the first time I'd really seen an out student that was so young and innocent and really struggling with the big ordeal that it is to be an out student at such an early age. When other shows present the gay character thing, it's typically been in much more adult situations, like gay men living in New York or closeted men who are married and struggling with that ordeal, but never really the core of the journey of defining your sexuality. Blaine offers a beautiful counter to that and makes such a great addition to the many-colored palette that is Glee. So as far as me having any reservations about it, no. I read it being like, this would be so cool, whoever gets to play this, it's going to be a great thing for an already great show."

NY Post interviews Chris Colfer of Glee

New York Post interviews Chris Colfer who talks a lot about his character, comparisons to Lea Michele, and much more. Chris Colfer is truly an inspiration and a brilliant actor. Make sure to tune into tonight's all new episode of Glee "Special Education"
"PW: A lot of Kurt's drama this year has been a result of bullying, as someone who has very vocally talked about their own experiences with that growing up, how important was tackling this to you?
Chris: Oh, very. It’s interesting that this issue had never been brought up before since it’s an issue that’s been around since the 50’s. It’s kind of unreal that we’re only talking about it now. For me, it’s all about bringing truth to the work and even though Kurt was the victim, I didn’t want him to be so victimized by Karofsky. It’s a terrible situation but I’m glad we’re talking about it.

PW: Karofsky's return to McKinley saw Kurt defect to Dalton Academy, what was your first thought when Ryan Murphy laid that out for you?
Chris: I was terrified that he was writing me off the show [laughs] “Oh god, am I really that bad? Sorry! I can improve, swear!” No, but I really love it. I love exploring another tolerant world and am happy that Kurt found acceptance somewhere. It kinda goes to show that if the world you live in doesn’t make sense, find one that does. But I really hope McKinley becomes more accepting so he can come back.

PW: Now Kurt is with The Warblers, who performed that incredible rendition of "Teenage ream." Did you have any inkling that song was going to blow up like it has?
Chris: Oh, absolutely. They played a demo for us long before Darren [Criss] had been cast and I got chills the first time I heard it. That is one of the best songs we’ve ever done and I was so excited for everyone to see it. I knew it would be huge, I listen to it almost every day." Read the rest of this interview over at NY Post

L.A. Times 'The Vampire Diaries': Six teasers from Executive Producer Julie Plec

Thank you @IHearttvd for the heads up on this article. Julie Plec discusses the next few episodes, love triangles, Tyler's impact on everyone after his transformation, and much more in this great article.

"1. The wolfman cometh: Tyler (Michael Trevino) will finally wolf out during the Dec. 9 episode. If you think the wait for new episodes will be torturous, the transformation period will be even more torturous for Tyler. “We’ll learn a lot about the mythology and the rules of the transformation over the next two episodes before we actually see it,” says Plec. “You’ll learn that while it gets a little bit easier the more you do it, the first time is not easy.” She adds that the show will not shy away from that painful process. “We wanted to show that in its entirety and really make the most of that because it’s a very, very difficult thing that Tyler is going have to go through and we wanted the audience to be able to experience it with him for the first time.”The experience will be “pretty life altering for [Tyler] in a lot of ways” and have far-reaching effects. “What happens after that is going to be a big part of what happens in Mystic Falls, and how our other characters get involved in Tyler’s story,” says Plec. “A lot of secrets start to come out and it becomes very complicated after he turns.” You can read the rest of this article at L.A. Times.

Vampire Diaries 'Companion' series in the works for The CW

E! Onlines Kristen D Santos just recently tweeted some very exciting news. Oh my goodness this is absolutely amazing and I cannot wait for this show to hit The CW.

"According to insiders, Williamson's new project is a one-hour drama about a group of researchers who investigate paranormal happenings.

It's unknown at this time if any of the TVD characters would cross over to the new series, and details are still being decided, however it isn't likely, as this companion project is currently considered a separate entity. I'm told it's also unlikely that the new pilot would air as an episode of TVD.
This pilot will be under consideration by the CW for the upcoming 2011-12 season." Read the rest of this article over at E! Online

L.A. times interviews Candice Accola

Candice Accola and Michael Trevino seem to be getting a lot of press lately around L.A. in the past few days. I have a feeling it's because of the long awaited episode "By The Light Of The Moon" is growing closer to appearing on our televisions! Thank you for the heads up Salvatorecast and also be sure to head over to L.A. Times to read the rest of this interview.

"Romance or friendship-wise, do you think they're doomed in a way since vampires and werewolves are historically enemies?
It's definitely got a Romeo and Juliet quality to it, the idea of them becoming romantic. Who knows? That didn't end very well with Romeo and Juliet. [Laughs] Hopefully, it wouldn't be that same result for Caroline and Tyler. I don't know. Really, right now, the most prominent thing going on between both of them is finding a safe place for Tyler to transform. It's really about his transformation right now. It's not about anything else, which I think is such a wonderful thing because, for Caroline, any involvement with a member of the opposite sex was immediately sexual throughout the first season. It was immediately like crush-worthy. It wasn't just like a friendship. I think it's just a lovely way of showing that she as a character has grown within the second season. It's more than just about a boy I immediately have to have a crush on. It's a friendship. It's something a little bit more substantial."

Anne Hathaway's genius idea for her dreamed up role on Glee

I absolutely LOVE Anne Hathaway and for her to come up with a role like this is just jaw dropping! I am so connected to the Glee community and I for one have NEVER seen this sort of idea ever come up. I truly hope Ryan Murphy finds out about this because this idea would be absolutely brilliant and also her role as Kurt's Aunt could help him learn more about his mother that he may not know about or remember. Here is what she stated on Jimmy Fallon.

"Speaking on 'Late Night with Jimmy Fallon', she said: "I would love to be on 'Glee'. Can I make a confession? In my head I've written a part for myself in 'Glee'! It's so arrogant and obnoxious, it's like, 'Ryan Murphy no one else wants to be on your show.' But in my head I've cast myself and I know which song I'd sing.

"I would want to play Kurt's long-lost aunt, his mother's sister who is also gay, who comes back to help him deal with his sexuality and I would sing 'No One Is Alone' from Stephen Sondheim's epic show 'Into the Woods'." You can read the rest of this article over at ContactMusic

EW: Talks Tyler Lockwood, cliffhangers, and much more in this article

EW has released an article full of spoilers talking about Tyler Lockwood's soon to be wolf out and much more.
"The Dec. 9 episode will also serve as the midseason cliffhanger (original episodes will resume in January). Will Tyler’s long-awaited transformation be the actual cliffhanger? “Nope,” Plec says, laughing. “The transformation will happen, but it’s what happens after the transformation that leads us to our midseason cliffhanger. It’s what happens when a wolf makes an appearance to people we don’t want to see coming face-to-face with a wolf. It’s gonna really shake up the world of Damon specifically, and our vampires in general, with the werewolf being their natural enemy. It’s gonna start a new chapter of our show. Tyler won’t be the only werewolf in Mystic Falls by the time we get into the New Year.” You can read the rest of this exciting article over at EW.

"JEREMY MAKES A DANGEROUS MISTAKE — Elena (Nina Dobrev) decides to take matters into her own hands and offers a tempting incentive to Rose (guest star Lauren Cohan) for her help. When things take an unexpected turn, however, Rose calls on Damon (Ian Somerhalder) to deal with the plan Elena has set in motion. Jeremy’s (Steven R. Bonnie and Luka (guest star Bryton James) form a closer connection. Tyler (Michael Trevino) shows Caroline (Candice Accola) the Lockwood cellar, where she makes a discovery that leaves them both terrified. Sara Canning, Zach Roerig and Matt Davis also star. My opinion on the Taylor Momsen situation and Glee media storm this pass week.

I honestly feel that people need to realize PEOPLE who are celebrities are NOT normal people. This by no means excuses the actions done by said celebrities, but there needs to be an understanding that this kind of stuff is acceptable in the media (because it's shown in the media and this makes that celeb MORE known and MORE popular). I'm a fan of Taylor Momsen because she is a BRILLIANT singer, a great actress, and she's a total bad ass. I found this whole situation very odd and wrong though and I think may be she did it because it seemed like a dull moment before she pulled her shirt down, or may be it was for some kind of shock value. The whole media storm that's going on around this only makes it worse...because why in the world hollywoodlife.com would even PUT a video of a 17 year old on youtube flashing a crowd is highly unbelievable and shocking (rather it was censored or not it's very disturbing) and I'm really disappointed with hollywoodlife because they did such a thing. Last week there was a HUGE media storm about the three  glee cast members (Lea Michelle, Cory, Diana Agron) because of their RACY photo shoot with GQ and it was so ridiculous that the parent council stated it was like pedophilia when all three of these cast members are in their 20's. This is all my opinion of cross...but the whole deal with the Glee cast is absolutely fact and the whole media storm was RIDICULOUS because no child should even be reading a GQ magazine because of all the racy photos inside. Hopefully, Taylor Momsen wont do this again at least under 17..because it's just not needed...I mean she has amazing qualities as a person and doesn't need to do such a thing to possibly make herself seem darker. I just feel really sad because I don't want her career to be affected by actions like that when she can do so MUCH.

Fancast's interview with Taylor Kinney!

I'm a huge Mason fan and I'm truly scared because of the possibility of him being killed off in tonight's episode "Plan B". However, I'm going to do my best to not think about it and just keep myself excited and expect the best to happen in tonight's episode of The Vampire Diaries. Fancast recently interviewed Taylor Kinney and here is a little tidbit from the interview, but be sure to head over to Fancast to check out the full interview.

"When did Mason find out about the Lockwood curse?  Neither Tyler nor his father seemed aware of it.
Being a Lockwood, there’s things in the family history, like coming of age, where you hear about these things, because the brothers knew.  Tyler didn’t know and that has something to do with why [Mason] came back.  Mason being the black sheep, he left town.  He came back to pay his respects and make sure that Tyler was prepared and knew what he had inside of him, that the things he was feeling and the rage that he had and the temper that he had sometimes wasn’t just him being an overzealous teenager, that he actually had something inside of him that if it goes unrestrained and let loose can be really harmful, which is what happened to Mason.  So you don’t know from childbirth that this happens, but it’s passed down through generations.  Mason’s not a bad guy.  He might do bad things sometimes but he knows prior when [the transformation is] going to happen and how it’s going to happen. He goes out of his way to get to places where he can restrain himself so he’s not on the loose killing innocent people."

Yeah.
But Bonnie does tackle Mason in an upcoming episode. She sort of does a vampire mind meld on him. How does that relationship come about?
Well basically, you guys have to watch the episode to see how much Mason was involved and what he does. But if Bonnie’s taking him down, it’s got to be for some reason. He did something wrong. I can’t say what he did." Read the rest of the interview here

Accola, her neck still red, says Dobrev plays her evil double role all too well. "When you see her coming it's 'Oh, man, that's Katherine! Something's gonna happen.' Jim Halterman's interview with Kevin Williamson

A big thank you to Jim Halterman for doing this awesome interview with Kevin Williamson (Executive Producer of The Vampire Diaries) and they talk a lot about Tyler, Caroline, and much more about this season of The Vampire Diaries.

"JH: I got at least half a dozen emails about it. I hadn’t thought about it but it did make me wonder about having some gay characters and storylines pop up on the show. What are your plans for any of that including Tyler and Jeremy.
KW: Well, certainly not with those two characters, I’m sad to say so we’ll just have to dream about that. If I bring on a gay character onto our show…I’m really not interested in a coming out storyline because I’ve done it [on Dawson’s Creek with Kerr Smith’s Jack character]. A coming out storyline doesn’t really excite me. Bringing a gay character to me would be incredibly exciting but I just want to do it right and I want to do it when it feels good and not force it and bring them on just to have a gay character. I want something I can really dive into and relish. We have Caroline’s Dad in the wings. He is set up to be gay and in a relationship with another man and that’s really all we know about Caroline’s Dad. He is a founding family member so I do envision a day when he comes onto the scene and wreaks havoc.

JH: So no Jyler but since Jeremy and Tyler have always been frenemies thus far is that where they’re going to stay or is it going to go more one way or another?
KW: They’re certainly bonded with so much backstory like Vicki and now the werewolf stuff and their founding families but I think it’s going to take a lot for them to really trust each other especially now that Tyler is a full-blown werewolf and he’s about to transform at the next full moon." Jason Layman (1:40:48 PM):oh for me, both seasons!
Jessica Rae (1:40:51 PM):Haha, lots of teams going on.
Jessica Rae (1:41:05 PM):Are you a fan of Mason?
Jason Layman (1:41:08 PM):This episode had so much. It was incredible! My jaw dropped a lot during the episode
Jason Layman (1:41:12 PM):Yep! Team Mason!!!
Jason Layman (1:41:17 PM):I'm a lockwood fan lol
Jessica Rae (1:41:26 PM):I think it's interesting to debate whether Mason knows Katherine is a vampire or not. What do you think?
Jason Layman (1:41:49 PM):That's actually very interesting because it makes me wonder as well
Jason Layman (1:41:56 PM):However, she looks like Elena!
Jessica Rae (1:42:03 PM):She obviously compelled that guy to fight with him and trigger the curse. And she used him to get the moonstone. But he knows she looks just like Elena. The only way I can see around that is if she's compelled him not to see the resemblance.
Jason Layman (1:42:17 PM):I mean these people can't be blind! However, I feel it's possibly he could be going through what the salvatore brothers went through with her
Jessica Rae (1:42:24 PM):And, also. He knew that Caroline was a vampire.
Jason Layman (1:42:28 PM):Well Damon anyway..being in love with her, but being used,
Jessica Rae (1:42:32 PM):So maybe werewolves can sense vampires.
Jason Layman (1:42:50 PM):Exactyl! He did know. Now I was wondering if Katherine possibly told him or may be he sensed it..iono
Jessica Rae (1:42:57 PM):I like that comparison. Mason as a Salvatore in terms of love-sickness.
Jason Layman (1:43:09 PM):Oh! Thank you! lol
Jessica Rae (1:43:23 PM):What do you think of Caroline?
Jason Layman (1:43:35 PM):OMG...can you just say..new HBIC in town!
Jason Layman (1:43:51 PM):Caroline in my opinion is the most bad ass vamp in town next to Katherine
Jessica Rae (1:43:57 PM):What's HBIC?
Jason Layman (1:43:59 PM):Damon was so scared of Mason last episode
Jason Layman (1:44:09 PM):"Head Bitch in Charge"
Jason Layman (1:44:18 PM):A lot of people call Katherine that!
Jessica Rae (1:44:19 PM):I don't think Damon was scared of Mason at all, but he was eager to help kill him, of course.
Jason Layman (1:44:42 PM):Interesting! I just thought it was so awesome how she took Mason down
Jason Layman (1:44:54 PM):I was cheering and jumping up and down possibly.
Jessica Rae (1:45:04 PM):Werewolves aren't as strong as vampires when it isn't the full moon, I guess.
Jessica Rae (1:45:32 PM):I know some fans are pretty peeved about Bonnie being a no-show in this episode. But I think they forget there were lots of chars we didn't see, and that's how all TV shows work. Bonnie isn't a main character.
Jason Layman (1:45:37 PM):From what we have seen that's true! It was hard to see his character go from a nice guy to that you know?
Jessica Rae (1:45:45 PM):And other episodes will have Bonnie, but maybe no Caroline.
Jason Layman (1:45:58 PM):I actually have an opinion on the character thing
Jessica Rae (1:46:11 PM):Well, I never liked Mason. And now that he's tried to kill two vampires that he knew were not a threat, I hate him.
Jason Layman (1:46:38 PM):I feel honestly they have a cast of a lot of main characters, but it's hard for a show to possibly keep up with everything. i think Bonnie's dealing with a lot on her own atm as well. So wouldn't have made sense to have her in this episode. iono
Jason Layman (1:46:51 PM):Really?! You've never liked Mason? how come? : o
Jessica Rae (1:46:59 PM):Well, it would make sense, if they had time to show it.
Jessica Rae (1:47:21 PM):He's been nothing but a liar, trying to manipulate Tyler into giving him something, and refusing to tell him the truth about their family.
Jason Layman (1:48:21 PM):I think Mason really cares about Tyler and he doesn't want Tyler to go through what he goes through. I felt in "Bad Moon Rising" we saw what he deals with and that it's something he struggles with.
Jason Layman (1:48:55 PM):I didn't like the whole bullying thing by Damon in last weeks episode..it made me a bit uncomfortable.
Jason Layman (1:49:26 PM):I felt Mason was 100% real in that episode too. Damon always messes things up imo. I agree with Katherine on that.
Jessica Rae (1:50:09 PM):Mason didn't even come to pay proper respect to Tyler's dead dying, he just came for the stone now that no one was there to keep it away from him.
Jason Layman (1:50:12 PM):I'm a huge Tyler and Jeremy fan. people call them Jyler lol! So...I was fanboying during the whole episode and giving thanks to Julie/Kevin and whoever else involved

The Vampire Diaries (2.08) "Rose" synopsis

A  big thank you to Tasha and Blood Falls for the the heads up. Now...I'm scared for Mason after reading this synopsis.

WetPet interviews Julie Plec.

Thank you @TVDNEWS of twitter for the heads up once again on another outstanding interview with Executive Producer Julie Plec. There are quite a bit of spoilers in this interview, but I will go ahead and post one I was most found of and it's related to my favorite character Tyler Lockwood.
*Spoilers Below* Highlight to reveal
"Does Tyler turn into a werewolf? — Ayla Lawrence

We’ve got two words for you, Ayla: Hell yes! The folks over at TVD promise that the Lockwood family curse won’t turn out to be a big teen wolf tease. In fact, Julie says we can probably expect Tyler to put the hair of the dog on his chest before Christmas. “I can’t be super specific about it. We’re still figuring it out. But it will probably be Episode 11, which will be the episode that takes us into the holiday hiatus.”

Plec wouldn’t tell us who it is that Tyler kills to initiate the werewolf transformation.(“You know I can’t,” she says.) What’s even more annoying? The date might change so we could end up having to wait until — gasp — 2011! “It hasn’t been set in stone yet,” Julie says. “But we’re aiming to send our audience out to their holiday hiatus with that.” What a wonderful gift that would be. We’re hungry for more shirtless moments already!"

CelebBuzz interview with Taylor Kinney

I'm so excited to see that Taylor Kinney has recently been interviewed by celebbuzz because it gives me hope that he hasn't been killed off the show yet. I would be so hurt if Mason gets killed off the show because he is the male figure that Tyler truly needs in his life since there is no one else really there for him to look up to or go to may be besides Jeremy.

"Did you have any reservations about playing a werewolf?

There were ideas and rumors being thrown around that it was going to be hair extensions or something ridiculous. That was my only reservation. I didn’t want it to be campy, but I think they did a great job with it and I’m happy with it. We show the agony and the defeat going on in this character and then you skip… you don’t see claws coming out of his feet or bones protruding through his head. It’s all more internal. When you see Mason transform, it’s fresh.

It seems that in order to play a werewolf these days you have to have amazing abs. Taylor Lautner beefed up for his Twilight role – how did you prepare?

That’s the biggest prerequisite I think. People just send pictures of their abs and they can book a job just based off that (laughs.) Werewolves are just a little more masculine, a little bigger. You have your Your Taylor Lautners and that guy on True Blood’s like 9-feet tall and ripped, so… but it wasn’t intimidating. I’m pretty athletic and physical. I can’t sit still so when I have free time, I’m running around, I’m riding a bike, I’m surfing, I’m hitting the gym or doing something. It wasn’t too taxing just to stay in shape."
