Sarah Michelle Gellar talks Ringer with IGN

In this interview Sarah Michelle Gellar discusses the buffyverse, playing two characters, and much more. Make sure to head over to IGN to read the rest of the interview. "IGN TV: Fans have wanted to see you back on TV again for quite a while. What was it about Ringer that drew you in?

Sarah Michelle Gellar: Celebrity Rehab wouldn't have me! Real Housewives didn't want me. They said I was the most boring housewife in the history of Housewives. [Real Housewives' executive producer] Andy Cohen denied me and said no. So I thought okay, so I can't be on Celebrity Rehab, I can't be on Real Housewives… I know!

It was about waiting for the right script. When you have a show like Buffy, you can't just do anything afterwards. It has to be something that speaks to not just me, but to the audience that was so incredibly loyal to me and that wanted to be challenged – that wanted something different, that wanted to be kept on the edge of their seats. And this is the first thing I read where I really thought, "This works for everybody."

Season 3 Summary of The Vampire Diaries

The Vampire Diaries Season 3 Summary reveals quite a few interesting tidbits. I'm very excited to see if these ghost will lead to something more evil in season 3 or may be in a different unexpected direction.

"8:00-9:00 P.M.           “THE VAMPIRE DIARIES”
Based on the best-selling book series, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES is the story of two vampire brothers, obsessed with the same gorgeous girl, who are battling to control the fate of an entire town.  In season one, Stefan and Damon Salvatore returned to their hometown of Mystic Falls, Virginia, for very different reasons.  Stefan was determined to get to know Elena Gilbert, who bears a striking resemblance to Katherine Pierce, the beautiful but ruthless vampire the brothers knew and loved — in 1864.  Damon, on the other hand, was intent on releasing Katherine from the tomb where he believed she was trapped by a witch's spell all those years ago.  In the explosive season finale, Elena's uncle set a plan in motion that saw the return of the vengeful Katherine Pierce.  In season two, Katherine's appearance and her precise manipulation threw a wrench into the love triangle between Stefan, Elena and Damon, and the other residents of Mystic Falls were forced to choose sides as they fell victim to a new breed of danger.  Stefan and Damon were later met with their greatest challenge yet — the arrivals of Elijah and Klaus, two of the “original” vampires.  As Klaus goes head to head with Damon and takes a special interest in Stefan, he is also seemingly focused on breaking the “Sun and Moon” curse by sacrificing Elena.  Yet no matter what action the brothers take to protect Elena, Klaus won’t be swayed from his mission, proving to be the most powerful vampire in existence.  Season three opens the door to learn more about Klaus and The Original Family as his motives for wanting Stefan on his side are finally revealed.  As Stefan sinks deeper into the dark side, Damon and Elena struggle with the guilt of their growing bond even as they work together to bring Stefan back from the edge.  The ghosts from Jeremy’s past have a powerful message they’re trying to deliver to him, not to mention the impact they’re having on his relationship with Bonnie. And as Caroline and Tyler grow closer, a war erupts between their families.  The series stars Nina Dobrev as Elena Gilbert, Paul Wesley as Stefan Salvatore, Ian Somerhalder as Damon Salvatore, Steven R. McQueen as Jeremy Gilbert, Kat Graham as Bonnie Bennett, Candice Accola as Caroline Forbes, Zach Roerig as Matt Donovan, Michael Trevino as Tyler Lockwood, Matt Davis as Alaric Saltzman and Joseph Morgan as Klaus.  Based on the series of books by L. J. Smith, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES is from Bonanza Productions Inc., Outerbanks Entertainment and Alloy Entertainment in association with Warner Bros. Television and CBS Television Studios with executive producers Kevin Williamson (“Scream,” “Dawson’s Creek”), Julie Plec (“Kyle XY,” “Wasteland”), Leslie Morgenstein (“Gossip Girl,” “Private”) and Bob Levy (“Gossip Girl,” “Privileged”). PopWrap Interviews Kevin Williamson

Kevin Williamson talks the crazy ending in the season finale, asking Sarah Michelle Gellar to play Rose, and much more in this PopWrap interview. "PW: Do you like that fans are still scratching their heads over the Vicki-Jeremy-Anna cliffhanger?
Kevin: [laughs] Oh, yes. I’m very excited about that storyline in particular. Right now I hope fans see it as a big question mark, because it should be."

"PW: Where did that idea come from?
Jeremy Gilbert
Kevin: Kayla Ewell. I just loved her. When we made the decision to kill Vicki, it wasn’t an easy one, but something I felt was important to the show because it needed to have a different kind of life. A moment to make people sit back and say, “this show is serious about genre storytelling.” And it worked. But I missed her. Right away I thought, “she can come back.” But then I thought, “dead people have to stay dead or we’re ‘Heroes.'" There here have to be consequences. Especially when people die. In that moment I came up with Jeremy being haunted by Vicky, but that felt stupid. But when Anna came around, everyone fell in love with her too – I mean, the Twitter outrage when she died alone proved that. Then we started playing off the idea that everyone in Jeremy’s life was dying, so I thought, “now there’s a story here!” I was waiting for the right time. It had to be earned. We’ve done werewolves, vampires, we’ve tried to keep it really grounded and now we’re in a place after all the witchy-woo-woo of this year that I think the audience will accept this additional element to our world. So now we’re going to do this whole haunting of Jeremy"

TVLine interviews Sara Canning about her Emotional Death Scene

It's truly sad to see a main cast member of the series be killed off the show. Now we have to endure reading an interview about how she felt filming the scene, but Sara Canning will always be remembered among the Vampire Diaries fandom, cast, and crew.

"TVLINE | What was your reaction upon receiving your final script? Were you surprised at all to discover the manner in which Jenna would be leaving?
Julie had explained Jenna’s death to me beforehand, so I wasn’t terribly surprised. I actually didn’t know that it would focus so much on Jenna and Elena, and what she feels her faults have been. Our characters had a similar moment in the beginning of Season 1, so it was challenging for me to try and address something that’s really at the heart of their relationship — Jenna going from Elena’s friend to her parental figure. It was really interesting to deal with that in the middle of all the fear."

"TVLINE | At least we know that dead people on Vampire Diaries usually pop-up again down the road!
I’m very grateful to Kevin and Julie for bringing me aboard this show and I really think the world of the cast and crew, so of course I’d come back. It would be much different to return to the show in that capacity, but I’d be open to it."
